The funding landscape changed. Your fundraising plan has to change with it.

Crown Impact helps nonprofits replace lost government dollars with foundation, corporate, and individual support, and takes the dread out of making the ask. Led by Taj Haider, MPH, who has secured more than $100 million for nonprofits over 15 years.

Federal funding turned volatile. Projections are no longer predictions. Most development plans were based on assumptions that are no longer valid.

Organizations that relied on government grants are watching gaps open mid-year while demand for their services keeps climbing.

Closing that gap takes three things: a prospect list matched to your programs, a case for support funders can say yes to, and a calendar of asks with an owner on every line.

Taj has won city, state, and federal awards from NYC HRA and DYCD; NYS OCFS, NYSED, and OASAS; Federal SAMHSA, the Office on Violence Against Women, DHHS, and EDA; and private grants from Ford, Robin Hood, and Doris Duke. She pursues the right mix to sustain your programs and advance your mission.

Questions

Do you work on commission?

No. Percentage-based compensation is prohibited by the ethics codes of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Grant Professionals Association. Every engagement is a flat fee or a monthly retainer.

Can you guarantee a grant?

No one can. What Crown Impact guarantees is the work: a plan matched to real funders, proposals submitted on time, and a clear report on where every ask stands.

Why is the Gap Plan fee credited toward a retainer?

Because most organizations that finish the plan want help running it. The credit means the plan costs nothing extra if you keep going within 30 days.

Do you write government grants?

Yes. Recent wins include $5.8 million from NYC DYCD COMPASS (2026) and a multi-year $6 million award from NYS OCFS (2025). Taj has also won awards from NYC HRA and the Department of Cultural Affairs, San Francisco OEWD, SAMHSA, the U.S. Office on Violence Against Women, and Ryan White Part A.

Do you work outside New York?

Yes. Current and past clients are in New York, California, and Texas, and all planning and writing work runs remotely.

Do you offer nonprofit discounts?

The posted prices are already set for nonprofit budgets. Organizations under $1M can ask about a reduced-scope Gap Plan.

Why funders sponsor it

Grantees that lost government revenue are being asked to diversify fast, often with a development team of one. A shared training gives every organization in a portfolio the same tools at once, for less than individual consulting.
